The combination of sperm and egg is done in the lab for fertilization. The fertilized egg or embryo will be allowed to grow upto day 5. Sometimes, more than one embryo will be formed. Egg Retrieval

Next the eggs are retrieved from your womb via ultrasound probe using a thin needle. Once the egg retrieval has been carrie d out, you will be given some medications to help prepare the lining in your uterine cavity for the embryo transfer. If you don’t want to use the eggs immediately, you can freeze them till whenever you’re ready to get pregnant.

Sperm Collection

After egg retrieval, we then collect a semen sample from your partner. The collected sample is washed to concentrate it and select the best sperms. The best sperms are usually those with the highest motility. They have the best chance of fertilizing the egg.

Egg Fertilization

Now we can fertilize the eggs with sperm either via ICSI or conventional insemination. Conventional insemination involves combining the egg and sperm in a cultured solution inside a Petri dish.

Embryo Transfer

Next, our experienced embryologists will monitor the developing embryo and decide when would be the best time to transfer it to the womb. This can take 3-5 days. Assuming the procedure was successful, implantation can occur within 6-10 days, which subsequently results to pregnancy.
